Hello, World!

My name is Billy, and I recently finished a batch at the Recurse Center.

I could claim that this blog exists for a number of reasons:

• To catalog various ideas I find cool or interesting
• To log past growth and serve as something like rings in a tree stump, marking both time and progress
• To document tedious processes to save time in the future
• To reflect on various steps and missteps
• To fulfill my lifelong dream of having a blog

In truth, this blog really exists as an attempt to retake my place upon the search engine ranking totem pole. My alter ego has enjoyed the top spot for far too long. Doesn’t everyone secretly want to see themself appear first when they type their name into Google?

If this strategy fails completely, maybe I’ll at least get some page hits from unsuspecting Marvel fans when they inevitably make a Young Avengers spin-off.
